Roberto d’Este could have been a superstar. He’s got looks, character, colour, strength, charisma, magnetism, chutzpah, and oceans of go. But better still, he finds it in others: models, celebrities, tribesmen, music people, artists, amplifying their strengths using his own.
Then he makes them stronger still. He refines, reshoots, relights, calls for even more. The results shout, sing, trumpet characters out loud. You can see, hear, sense, almost taste them.
From his own production company in Cuba, one of our partners, he tours the world shooting national characters, rituals and costumes. And often at his side are legends likeMario Testino, the co-producer of his ongoing project, Beautiful World.
